The UV-C dosimeter card is a simple and efficient means of verifying adequate exposure of a surface or item to UV-C light.
How it works
When exposed to UV-C (254 nm), our UV-C dosimeters visibly change colour from the starting point yellow, to orange and then to deep pink. The colour change reflects the level of accumulated ultraviolet germ irradiation (UVGI), which is used as a quick check to ensure surfaces have received enough UV-C to inactivate bacteria and viruses.
The UV-C dosimeters are available as 2.5″ x 3.5″ cards, which are placed on surfaces or adjacent to equipment that will be disinfected with ultraviolet irradiation. The card’s UV-sensitive material will respond and change from yellow to orange to pink; which indicates an adequate level of UV-C Light exposure.
